Nov. 25th, 2020 01:26 pmSo. I have this hub which translates the remote to fan signal into wifi. Then I can use Alexa and Google to turn my fan on and off and my fan light on and off. I have routines set up for morning and night and some in between that use this on/off function.
It started going wonky the other night and has been on and off ever since.
Finally today I did it all, I factory reset. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I rebooted. I turnaround and did the hokey pokey. For a solid hour.
And then I got a note from
bill_schubert about an identical issue with a different piece of tech that is giving him fits.
And then I discovered that AWS (Amazon Web Service) has been having issues that are affecting all kinds of everything but especially connections/linkages/automations and most especially alexa and google home.
Buggers. I love Amazon but I wish they were perfect.
All the world is suffering. Covid-19 is killing people right an left. People can't find work and have no food or shelter. And now... I'm going to have to turn on my bedroom light with the wall switch. 2020. amirite?

I did reboot my Eero just because I can from my phone without getting up.
