The candy canes arrived and totally worth the $7!! I was able to use Plans B and C successfully. Yah gotta love dental floss.
The two hanging ones can spin but are tethered so they won't fly away.
They will not show up at night and Sweetheart's blinds have been down all day and it's getting dark now. So probably they won't see them until tomorrow which is fine.
They are very cheery.
And, on a side note. Flickr went down just as I was loading up this shot. So I tried the LJ phone app which worked perfectly. I loaded the image into an entry and saved it as private. Then I went to the laptop to edit. At first I was OOOOOps because it brought up an editing screen I had not seen before. ('New' 3 year old editor?) Happily there was a link that said 'edit in legacy editor'. Clicked on that and bob's your uncle. It's using the figure coding which is weird. I could change it but I think I'll leave it while I investigate this editing situation. If they truly now have an easy back and forth, I might get that new editor a try.
