The chicken place and the pizza place operate out of what was an open air sports bar. They had lots of seating inside but tables and bar seats and nice roaring fires outside, too. They closed down the sports bar. The pizza place (and a burger joint) got the bar half and the chicken place is on the other side. Works out great really.

Yesterday I got chicken. If Popeye's is a 10, this was an 8 but a solid 8. Fries were meh but the mac and cheese turned out to be delish and they also carry a fruit salad. My meal was there when I got there. The guy asked me if I lived around here and I pointed to my building and he said 'hi, neighbor!'.

Today I got pizza. On the side where the pizza is they blast really annoying very loud music. When I got there, he went and checked and came back and said 8 minutes. I waited trying to get away from the loud music but not wanting to go over to the more quiet chicken guy's place because I thought it was rude to hang out there and get my food elsewhere.

But, just before my pizza came out, Chicken guy came all the way over and said 'hi, neighbor!!' and then asked me how I liked the chicken. That's how you get my repeat business. I am now the chicken guy's bitch. Sorry, Popeye's.

I was not disappointed in the pizza. It was good, actually better than last time. But it wasn't as good an experience as the chicken for sure. I had two pieces which were plenty. I have two more in the fridge and four in the freezer. I feel pizza rich. But also chicken rich. I still have one nice sized piece left and half he mac and cheese.

Food wize. I'm fine and dandy, thankyouverymuch.

Turns out none of my fellow condo peops have one single christmas anything up. I am it!

The people in the apartments must think we are total duds here ... except me.

Macy's front window would be envious.

I like your apartment from the outside! I've never seen it before, at least that I remember. For some reason I thought it was much more of a sky scrapery looking building. This is nicer.

Haha. You’re in the spirit! I got home with my twinkle lights last night, so excited to put them around the windows, only to find the house next door TOTALLY pimped out over-the-top for Christmas LOL. I mean I guess I’ll still enjoy the ambience inside.

I'd say Bah Humbug except candy canes aren't religious items. They aren't really even winter items. One of my high school friends was named Kandy Kane, and she wore candy striped leggings. She had great legs.

One of the many (many!) Covid operating rules for restaurants and bars here in DC is that music must not be played above "a conversational level," and they have selectively enforced it, with real citations issued to violators! We could send a health/noise inspector to your pizza people. ;)
