Seems like it was just recently that I was complaining about having too much stuff in this house...
I've also had a real hard time seeing the computer lately. I think my eyes are lazy but still it's a bitch. I have permanent lenses in each eye that I got years ago when I had my cataracts removed. One eye is for distance and one eye is for close up. Last time I was at the eye doctor, I mentioned that the close up eye was getting lazy. I told him that I had gotten a pair of readers at the dollar store and popped out the left eye for when I needed to see tiny stuff. He said that was a perfect solution.
But those are a 3.25 magnification - enough for close up sewing and needled work but too much for the computer screen.
So, this afternoon, I went over the cabinet where I keep a magnifying glass just to see what was in there and lo and behold there was a never used before pair of 1.25 readers! I popped out the left eye and man oh manashevitz I can see the screen! It's a miracle. Plus, I'm getting really good at popping out eye glass lenses.
I not only went outside today, I drove someplace! The car started fine which is always a delightful surprise since it sits idle for so long. I went up the street about a mile to return stuff to Amazon and then drove home. There were several places, pre-pandemic, I would have stopped along the way but today, I didn't. Just there and back.
Pretty darned exciting!

Date: 2020-12-05 11:27 pm (UTC)I don't associate hoarding with negativity, or/and mentally illness, or human welfare... I just like having too much (xtra) stuff, bcuz it feels good, and makes for pleasant zoning out busy work, time consumption!!
Happy hoarding . God bless.

Date: 2020-12-05 11:31 pm (UTC)I hate having too much stuff - it makes me claustrophobic. I think have drawer and shelf space to spare is luxurious. But, it's a process.
Glad to have a prodigal LJer back in the fold :)
