Costco day
Dec. 7th, 2020 08:04 amI'm going today. 9 am. Old people hour. I have 4 things on my list. I'll be back here before anyone - hopefully COVID 19 - notices.
Yesterday, I watched the oddest little movie - Swimming with Men - on Hulu. It's a British film about a synchronized swim team made up of middle aged men. Not a Hollywood blockbuster but very entertaining.
I have a package I coming today - according to USPS - that I cannot identify. I'm hoping it's the yarn kit I ordered. But, like all other delivery services, the USPS around here has been delivering early and often so I won't have to wait long to find out.
My $6 candy canes are holding up nicely. And I still have two out of the package of six that I haven't used yet. They make me smile.
Tonight is a soccer game at the stadium across the street. So weird. In all other years, it's pretty critical to pay close attention to the stadium schedule because traffic. This year... no traffic but it doesn't matter because I'm not going anywhere anyway. They have some kind of drive through Christmas lights thing over there starting this week. You can only access in a car and it's $40 a car. So, that's all I'm ever going to know about it.
For the past few years the baseball stadium (on the other side of the football one) had giant light/music/ice skating show at Christmas. It was a walk through and reports were that it was spectacular. They didn't even announce they weren't going to have it this year. They just didn't, of course. I loved it because they lit up the outside of the stadium beautifully and I could see it when I went back and forth to the pool before daylight. Times gone by.
Ha. I just read a tweet by NBC News: "Across the country, families big and small are safely enjoying some holiday cheer through drive-thru and timed Christmas light shows. " Guess I'll see this on the news tonight.
Time to get into the shower and don my shopping duds and hit the road, jack.
