Costco report
Dec. 7th, 2020 10:29 amThis is mainly for
bill_schubert but why not share with everyone?? Costco was grand this morning. I have a full tank of gas so I'm good til probably next Thanksgiving. I've driven nearly 500 miles since March. Where they hell did I go??
The old people lined up ready to go and we marched on in. There were very few of us so I just took my time and wandered around - thot I'd give Fitbit some steps.
First up. Look what's back in stock!!

These egg yolk cookies are the best - barely sweet and delicious.
Then on to the bacon and there's a new kid on the block - Select! They appear to be the same value so I got it instead of my regular. Weird for Costco to have two items so similar. (I freeze these just as they are and then once frozen, I free up the individual strips and store them in the freezer in a baggie. Takes up no room and I enjoy one bacon strip here or two there... 30 seconds per strip in the microwave.)

The downside of this bacon is no bacon grease. I bought a giant tub (smallest size they had) from Amazon. It is shelf stable with a long shelf life, so no biggie BUT now Costco is carrying the same stuff in a much friendlier form factor.

I had a very nice walk around and did the self checkout which just feels efficient. And I remembered to use the $25 store card I had PLUS I remembered to put the Costco card back in my wallet which is now hanging on the front door where it belongs. Whew.
And it's only 10 am.
Biggie has gotten bitey lately. It's not a chomp but more like he's grabbing my arm or hand like he would if he had fingers. I've got little cat bite marks on my arms and my hands and I'm wishing he would find another way to get his point across.
Whoa! Twitter says our mayor is not going to run for a second term which is fairly huge Seattle news. We have had a string of mayors with one issue or another but this one really hit the jackpot. The riots, the police issues, the homeless encampments, downtown just decimated by all of the above plus the pandemic... it honestly would have taken a saint/genius/peace prize winner to handle it and she was absolutely NONE of that. Plus, there's a large socialist movement in Seattle and they would dearly love to take over the spot. There are going to be some shenanigans going on around here. Whew.
But, here in this condo. We be cool. I need to separate out the ham into fridge and freezer packages. Then maybe watch some Foyle? Or... plan a new project? Or...
