I can easily see into about 9 apartments across the street (now that The Tree That I Hate has no leaves). The grandest of these is one on the corner directly across that also has a large patio. Just after the building was finished and opened a really cute couple of older-ish guys moved in. They had wonderful parties out on the terrace and that first year they had THREE Christmas trees. I loved those guys. Alas, they moved. Since then that unit has had a series of peops in and out. The latest ones moved out last weekend. They had actually been there a couple of years. They are the ones that had the cat tree that led me to finally find the one that Biggie has now.

Anyway, like any good stalker, I checked their building's website to see the floor plan and what it rents for. But, it was not there! So... maybe they haven't posted it yet. OR OR OR maybe it's already been rented again. This morning there was a guy in there doing some deep cleaning. I so hope I get some fun people. At least the cleaning guy left the blinds up and the lights on so surveillance will be easier.

I totally forgot a critical item on my shopping list yesterday. I had wanted to get some kind of gift card for my mail carrier and was going to look at what was available and just forgot. I did not want to get Amazon - that seems like adding insult to injury for a delivery person right now. And I don't know but Starbucks didn't seem right either. So last night I actually created a Target account to buy her a Target card. There is a nice Target store less than a mile from here that has everything from everyday groceries to shoes to headphones. The rules are nothing more than $20 and I have no idea how much a of rule lover she is so I decided to play it safe. They project it will take two weeks for them to get me the card. Amazon, they ain't.

My nephew in Iowa - the one with the driveway cam - is scheduled to get snow tomorrow. I love watching the snow cam.

I think I'm going to make a breakfast casserole today. Crescent rolls laid out as a base, then eggs, cheese and sausage. I may wait until tomorrow morning to bake it and then divide up what's left after I eat, into portions for freezing/fridging.

I started the new afghan last night. I did the first two squares but I think I'm going to redo them as the pattern needs adjusting. But, it's going to be a nice project to work on.

I have no packages expected or mail and my trash/garbage sitch is in hand so zero reasons to even open the front door today. Safe and sound right here. We get more and more cases here in Washington state but the governor is cutting the baby in half. No complete lockdown because businesses will suffer. Half lock down so everything suffers AND we can still pass the virus easily.

Easy for me to judge. Also. I'm not going anywhere.

It's a little chilly in here this morning. I think I need to go have a hot shower and put on layers. Lots of layers.

I'm really interested to hear if you get a neighbor like me. I basically only ever close the curtains if i have a very bad hangover, so most days i live my life in a fishbowl and don't care. Here in the country no one can really see in, but in the city i'm sure neighbors could've watched if they wanted. Usually i am either cooking food or lying in bed, so not much to see. But i am naked a fair bit, or at least topless. I wonder if people out there were getting a show?

My mom always used to say that it's nothing they haven't seen before. Not like anyone was running around naked in our family home, but i think that was a pep talk she gave me once as a child when i was embarrassed about peeing on the side of the road or something. Wise words from my mom.

I never really understood the people who leave their blinds down all the time, it feels like it defeats the point of having windows a little bit. My condo dwelling friend in Ontario who does this says it's because she doesn't like glare on the TV, which i suppose is fair. I always use a laptop so perhaps i'm not as affected.

That is nice of them to provide some excitement. Hope it continues.

Never a dull moment.

I'd love to see the new afghan when you can.

I finished my older spinning project and have a basket of spun wool whispering to me.

Christmas cards first, then I will spin.
