I love the Day In The Life entries and have wanted to do one myself but I don't have the discipline. So I decided to try just a Morning In The Life. Just the first two hours of today. At the end of this entry.

I spent ages yesterday trying to set up bathroom music. The bathroom is on the other side of the bedroom which is on the other side of the kitchen which is on the other side of this room. Oh, Heck. Here's the floorplan (I'm just across from the fireplace). Anyway, the bathroom has great acoustics and the sound can be heard from everywhere in the house.

If I had Spotify, I could fire it up from a browser tab and turn it on and off the speaker of my choice and all would be good. But, I don't have Spotify. I have Youtube music and Amazon Prime music. Neither of which have remote capabilities. I put my google home speaker in the bathroom and a spare Echo dot as well. And set up 'routines' on both. I'm now doing Battle of the Assistants - the music versions. I wanted holiday music this morning. Google failed but Amazon worked. Google has better music. The battle continues.

Also I have online battles.

* My doctors' clinic sent me email yesterday about their new online patient software. They've been running both old and new for a while. No biggie. But the email said that the new will also include billing which the old one did not. Starting today. Wrong.

* My Citi accounts are set for NO PAPER. And, yet, every month, they send me statements in the snail mail on paper. No way to fix.

* On Tuesday morning, the condo services website would not let me into my account so I could ensure my checks arrived and were appropriately accounted for (not always the case in years past). I sent an email. I received a reply that the website was broken (DOH, see my email) and they were looking into it. Situation unchanged now 4 days later. This is 2020 people not 1995.

When you are stuck at home with a very light calendar, you tend to focus on not-very-consequential shit. At least I do.

Ok, Google is now playing the music I want, the way I want and it is, actually, lovely.

I think today is laundry day. My dirty clothes hamper just can't handle any more donations.

Morning in The Life

The first thing I do is get on the scale. I weighed 250 in July. It's still coming off about a pound every two weeks.

Good morning, treadmill. How are you this morning? That little bag that dangles is what I put around my waist and put my Fitbit into. (This is because I do not have enough balance to walk the treadmill without holding on with both hands. And if I wear the watch, I get no steps.)

I listen to my book while I walk. This is a really fabulous gruesome story.

Breakfast! That egg casserole was, indeed, WAY better reheated. I was even able to scrap the crescent roll off the bottom and the remainder was delicious.

But, before we eat, we have the daily nail cutting. Biggie will not let me even sip my coffee until he gets his treat (in the little cup) and there's no treat until I clip at least one nail. Nail clipped, treat had. Moving on...

Then onto the internet... Mail, Twitter, Instagram and then I stroll leisurely through my Live Journal Friends' entries. (That's my Iowa nephew's driveway on the phone there - he has SNOW!!!)

Biggie eats his own breakfast.

Once done, he brings me Stickie and we go at it for a while.

Until we wear him out.

Now it's nearly 9 am and Biggie's gone off for his big nap. I still have some internetting to do before I start the laundry and then get into the shower.

That's my MITL!

I'm confused by the floorplan, where is the sewing room?

That's kind of you. I need to take a close look at it, but I don't think it's going to be right for us.
