My very last chore was to take a bunch oh shit down to the dumpster. I went to grab my keys and they were not where they live.

I keep a set of keys with the car fob on it and a set for when I'm not using the car. That second set was the one missing. It had the building fob on it and the key to the stairway. Replacing is $100 each plus I have to deal with the building manager.

I looked in the obvious places. I even looked in the washer and dryer. Nothing. Nowhere. Think back. Think.

Oh, wait, I don't have to. My Wyze app will tell me when the door was opened. Yesterday when I left for the vet. Before that, it was Sunday mid-day when I went downstairs to pick up a package. My guess is that I put it into my pocket. What pocket. Searched the obvious and then got another brainstorm. My Nest cam will tell me exactly what I was wearing when I went out the door on Sunday. Nope. Not in the top. Not in the pants.

BUT yes! in the hoodie. WHEW. I'm pretty sure I have an unused Tile fob around here somewhere. It's getting used today and then I'll buy a spare for the other keys. This is getting to be a wild week.

Sure, you can go out to the terrace, Biggie. No prob.

I think 1 pm is the earliest I can call the vet (she said mid-late afternoon). So... this will not be my last post of the day.

And, really, thank you. Thank all of you so much. Biggie and I both appreciate your kind words and your caring. Well, maybe not Biggie since he's probably out of it, but I sure as heck do.

Biggie wants his mom (you. ) He wants to be snuggled up against you in bed just as much as you want him to be home and cleared for snuggling. You're his "Special," his "Precious," and he belongs next to you in your (pl.) bed, at your side on your (pl.) sofa, across your lap or toe-tapping on your his keyboard. And he knows it.

I haven't been able to respond today, but I've been following the saga. This cat is some piece of work, and I sure hope he's up and around again soon, perfectly healthy and with no appetite whatsoever for plastic.

Your terrace looks like the scene in The Blues Brothers when they're running to the assessor's office and try to block the doors from the stairwell.
