a new day

So since the vet, yesterday, told me to call "about 9" today, I called at 7:55. She shouldn't have mentioned that the day vet comes on at 6. Today's receptionist said "well, we really just started our day here" liar liar pants on fire... BUT the tech told me that as soon as the vet checks him, I can pick him up!! He ate food and the IV is out and he's doing well. So... YEAH! I told her I wanted to come now and that my keys were in my hand (now, who's the liar, bitch). "well, if you don't hear from me in a couple of hours, call me back."

My clock is sure different than other people's but, in fact, I'm not dressed. No shower and no keys in hand so it's ok. At least I know it's only a matter of hours and all is good.

I did remember last night that there will be pills and he will need pill pockets. Biggie hates pills but LOVES pill pockets. Happily there's a Pet Smart right there a couple of doors down from the vet's. I just need to remember to stop in there.

But, at least he's coming home. I miss that little devil. So much.

Neighbor News!

Someone is moving into the big apartment across the street. I can see a shelving unit in place. Fun times. Please let them be shades-up-always people.

Also there are new neighbors across the hall. Chris and Tanya had their unit up for rent and now it's not and I saw a couple going in there yesterday. Older couple. Interesting because the six other units up available for rent in this building have had no luck getting tenets for months and months. Chis and Tanya's is an excellent unit - probably the best of all those available. I'm glad they were able to fill it.

In all the mayhem of the past few days, I have not had a good audible book going. I've started a couple that just weren't getting it. Then, yesterday evening, I got a note that one I'd had on hold at the library - one I was particularly waiting for - was available to check out. The Searcher by Tana French. Every word she writes is great so there's no 'is this what I want to listen to' stress, but also this particular one opens in the countryside of Ireland. It will be a complicated and tense story but now, in the first hours it's all about calm and finding satisfaction in small things which is like soul balm for me right now. Thank you, universe.

Now I'm going to get into the shower and then into my Pick Up Biggie clothes and get ready to dash out the door the minute I get the call.

Oh, yeah. The Searcher. I read it while you were on an Audible book. It is solid and a bit easier to track than some of her stuff. Not quite so many people.

Thank you! You are good at using google translate.
Everything is fine in Moscow, but the coronavirus ...
I do not write in my magazine, I started it in order to be able to ask questions to veterinarians and cat experts. I have a 6-year-old cat, his name is Marsik, 2 more parrots. There is no family.

I'm relieved to hear Biggie is recovering well ...

I'm curious, does your HOA have a percentage limit on how many condos can be rented out?

I know that when folks go to purchase a condo with lax HOA regulations regarding rentals, that an overabundance of rentals makes it unattractive to buyers seeking certain types of loans.

So we have to wait until Monday for the biopsy, right? Meanwhile, though, thank goodness Biggie is on the mend. I will hope it was just inflammation due to the delicacies he tried.

Can the vet tell you what they were? Or just random pieces of plastic? I know you've been careful to keep things out of Biggie's reach but he manages to find them anyway.

Glad to hear the boy is coming home! Some info on Pica, The cause of pica is unknown, but experts speculate that it could be due to a number of causes such as being weaned too young, dietary deficiencies, genetics, boredom, compulsive disorder, or stress. The onset of pica can be as early as 3 months of age and some cats are able to grow out of it by 1-2 years of age.

Why do you think they're so hard to rent out?
