Biggie is just so bored. So I figure I'd move the cat tree to its side again (so he wouldn't climb so high) and put the cat door back in. Except. He can't get through the cat door with his collar on! He tried so hard. But no. It's too cold to leave the door open. Poor guy. Well, that's what you get for eating plastic bits.
He's now just sitting there staring outside. He's been rooted to this spot just like this for the past 15 minutes. So, maybe, that will be enough for him for now. There are some small black birds out there in the tree. They are keeping him entertained, I guess.

I have tried taking the collar off but he goes right for the stitches so nope. Also he's figured out how to get the pill out of the pill pocket and eat just the pocket. So, yes, I ordered a pill shooter. It will be here today.
I have ordered a million things from Amazon in the past two weeks. None of them more than $10. I cannot imagine, even with economies of scale, it's worth their while. I also cannot imagine how miserable I would be without them. Some of the things have been important. Some have not. All have been mentally soothing. And have kept me from having to leave this house.
I went back in my journal this morning to find out when I started doing the treadmill every single day. I'd forgotten that I walked outside at first so I started looking at March which was, of course, the beginning of the pandemic. And, just after Biggie's last surgery. wild.
Turns out I did not start on the treadmill every single day until mid August which makes my streak not so impressive plus I did skip a day last week - well, did less than half of my usual time. I still don't love it - walking on the treadmill - but I don't hate it either. So I'm counting that as progress.
Speaking of progress, I've made great strides in my separation from Instagram. For many of the commercial ventures I follow, I signed up for newsletters instead. For others, I added their blogs to my rss feeds. For the vast majority, I just Marie Kondo'd - thanks for the joys... unfollow. My follow numbers include a huge number of accounts that never post. I'll clear those out today. And then we'll be left with a handful and I'm ok with that.
No plans today. Just the usual.

Date: 2020-12-21 06:05 pm (UTC)THAT is against the cat rules and must be protested. Piper is a gentle soul who does not object, but Dobby hits the windowpanes, hissing, every time he sees one. I swear he enjoys the righteous anger. It adds to the thrill.
