Oh, Google, you are so funny. But, nice to know, I guess. There was a time when I would trim. Save photos judiciously. Offload files religiously. But, no more. Life is too short. I'm lucky if I have four more years. So this is likely plenty.

Biggie has a new problem. He has no idea how wide he is. He keeps knocking stuff over. Not on purpose but because of his wide collar and he freaks himself out. The latest was a bottle of water - full but sealed - on the counter. It landed with a thud that jettisoned him up into the air in surprise.

After a full morning of sitting on the floor watching the birds outside, he has now moved to his tuffet on the couch to continue his work.

There is a large and vibrant neighborhood in Seattle called Capital Hill. It's where they had that occupation last year - just north of downtown. It used to be the gay neighborhood but the gays have pretty much moved to better parts of town now. Anyway... it is big and there is lots of news continuing to flow from there. So... when I see BREAKING NEWS: Capital Hill... flow by on my Twitter feed I have to stop and look at the author and or otherwise noodle out whether Trump has done something stupid again or Biden has done something kind or some fool has started a bonfire in a dumpster here in town. It's never not disconcerting.

It's dark day here and not one single one of my neighbors has any lights on. So weird. I finally got off my ass to look and see if maybe there was a power outage over there. Nope but even more of the apartments than I can see from his couch are dark. Did everyone leave town? I guess so.

the Castro is famously the gay neighborhood in San Francisco but a long time ago it used to be that a lot of gay people lived in neighborhoods that were not as nice.

We used to live on Capitol Hill. I still miss it.

The arrests after the soccer game at Cal Anderson? Yeah, you always have to least look - though I did (privately) get tired of explaining to my Fox News-watching parents that I lived on the other side of Puget Sound from the summer protests and there was no chance of anyone storming the ferries.

We've been having power blips here, which is not saying much: if a squirrel farts in Kitsap the transformer's going to blow. Let it hold off long enough for my supper to finish cooking!

Occupation last year? You mean last summer? Or was there another occupation?
