We had snow last night! It was very exciting. It was, of course, Seattle Snow* but it was snow. *In Seattle, mostly, if we get any snow at all, it is very brief and non-sticking. Last night's lasted maybe 20 minutes and was rain by the time it got to the ground but it was fun and pretty. And it totally counts.

And, oddly enough, yesterday was the warmest and the wettest December 21 on record.
Biggie's doing well. We tried the collar off again this morning - mouth right to stitches - collar back on. Last time, the surgeon closed the exterior with superglue so no stitches he could get to. So he only wore the collar for about a day. But that was my regular vet. Not the emergency vet. They like outside stitches. I don't blame him. I'd go right for them if it were me, too. Stitches can come out in 10-14 days. Friday is day 10. I'll be calling then to get an appointment.
He's back this morning sitting in front of the window like a cat statue.
Dr. Faucci gets the vaccine and poor Britain has turned into Typhoid Mary. We have one airline that comes directly into Seattle from England. It flies 3 days a week except mostly lately the flights have been canceled for lack of interest. The poor local tv news guys last night were all at the airport last night to great the infected but the flight was canceled. Our local news coverage which never gets close to good is failing fast.
Of course, easy for me to judge. I have some time on my hands.
Time now to go scoop out the King's throne and then get dressed. It's cold in here and I need more layers.
I have a USPS package Out For Delivery. Usually the mail carrier 'beeps' the boxes in and then fills the mail slots so I get a 'delivered' text about 30 minutes before she actually delivers. This means... I'll have a great chance at catching her today to give her a holiday card with her gift today.

Date: 2020-12-24 05:35 am (UTC)Kitty hated his cone. Those were the days when there were no cool Amazon pillow cones. I tried to take it off every once in a while, but he would mess with the 'area'. With him it was abscesses.
Anyway. It's no fun.
I'm glad Biggie appears to be healing well.
