Free at last!!!
Dec. 24th, 2020 12:31 pmI watched Biggie struggle to get at the non-stapled parts of his belly until I was sure that the bill for the kitty chiropractor was going to be huge and where would I even find a kitty chiropractor??
So I liberated him. I watched him closely for about 30 minutes to make sure his vigorous manskaping did not involve the stitches. And really it did not. The hairless spots, for sure, but he did not mess with the stitches at all. So he got to keep it off. So far.
I put his bell back on so I could find him. I think the rule may be 'no collar' while he's with me and 'collar' if he goes off by himself. He was in the other part of the house and I wanted him here so I rattled his treat jar. He came running fast! I usually give him several but this time I only gave him one and now he's looking all over for the rest.
If he continues to leave his stitches alone, I might put the cat door back.
EDIT: about 20 minutes later, I did put back the cat door and moved the tree so it can be seen from the webcam better. (susandennis.rocks) He's hopped up there immediately and gave everything a good long look. I think it's going to be fine - leaving the collar off. He's so much happier. He's now tried eating and drinking both, far easier now. I think we've turned the corner on this adventure.
