So shamed on by [livejournal.com profile] meowmensteen, I pulled the cookie roll out of the freezer and sliced it up. I preheated the oven and put the cookie sheet of about 18 cookies into the oven. I waited 10 minutes and went to check to see if they were done.

Ah, but you can knit and I can't. 18 on one sheet, huh?

Back to GBBO for you.

If the recipe didn't tell you to leave room for them to spread, that's it's fault, not yours.

OMG!

Never mind the spread or the shape: those look soft, almost cake-like, almost like much older (as in decades ago, like when I was a kid) Archway cookies.

I'll bet those eat just fine!

Do they smell good at least? Is there some redeeming quality beyond the laughs? Those are pretty on brand for 2020 really, all around from making the dough to now.

I'm betting that:
[1] you didn't taste them
[2] you put them and the rest of the dough in the trash
[3] and the mixer isn't lonely any more.

I actually wrote my comment without reading the others or I wouldn't have made such dumb comments.

Been there, done that. But once done you can just cut them into square cookies. They will taste the same and your stomach will never know the difference!

I've had that happen before. Just cut them apart and eat them anyway.

Ok, I’m sorry for laughing so hard, but...at least they’ll taste ok. Probably.

You were right: maybe it’s eating cookies that’s your thing, not making them.
