Happy Boxing Day and Happy Kwanzaa

It is a rather blustery chilly morning so Biggie is sitting outside. Not even in his tree. Just sitting there on the even colder concrete floor. He doesn't have balls to freeze off so I guess he's fine with it.

I've always enjoyed The British Sewing Bee. They have two special episodes this year. One today and one New Year's Day. I was so looking forward to them. But, my source has, apparently, gone dark. There was the great person on Reddit who uploaded episodes of many UK shows not available here. There have not been any Sewing Bees for a bunch of months so I hadn't checked until today and now I see that tv angel disappeared sometime in October. Sigh. No sewing bee for me. Buggers.

I poked around a lot of random TV yesterday looking for something to sink my teeth into. I found a boatload of crap. But at least I'm winnowing down my Check This Out list.

In addition to My Very Last Attempt To Make Cookies, yesterday, I also washed everything in the house. And folded it and put it all away. It feels lovely to be all caught up. The cookies did get tossed. They didn't taste horrible but I do not need to be wasting calories on 'not horrible'.

I also saw that my neighbor took down the snowman yesterday so I took down the candy canes. I have them all ready now for next year.

I may whip up some breakfast burritos today. At least I know I can do that successfully!

I tried to call the vet to see about stitch removal but got their voice mail that says they are closed on Christmas Day. So I'm guessing they are slammed or just haven't gotten around to fixing their phones back to operational yet. I'll try again later.

I started a new crochet thing last night. I finished the lap blanket. I don't have any idea what this will be. If anything but so far, it's making me happy.

If you have or get a VPN can you stream the sewing bee on BBC I player for free?

i'm going to try but bbc 1 blocks most vpns - at least the ones i've tried

I use express vpn and it’s pricier but I’ve never had a problem accessing anything in any country (including when I was in Italy and wanting to watch British shows.) their support people are super helpful too :)

yep. you are a hero today!! got a bbc account set up and watched the first 15 mins. it's really dumb (celebrities I've never heard of who have also never done any sewing) but i'm loving it. thank you!
