Biggie finally came in after a day out on the terrace in his tree - up and down - in and out. Pretty busy.

I decided to see if I could get a shot of his no stitches belly. Well, turns out the incision has popped holes! fuck. They are little and they aren't bleeding. Just raw looking.

I was able to get not a great photo but at least enough for a baseline.

I googled and worried and finally decided to watch and wait rather than call the vets back. I do not want to have to wrestle him into that carrier again if I can help it.

He's sleeping here next to me and, if he sticks to his usually schedule, he's done with the shenanigans until tomorrow. He'll snooze in here or in the bedroom til bedtime and then he'll sleep the night. The vet will be open tomorrow if things change for the not good.

The down side is that this might make a bigger scar - his bikini days could be behind him

Well, bikinis on men are so unfortunate anyway-- better that he not wear them. I know you'll be watching him like a hawk. Good idea to take that baseline picture.

Could those "holes" just be the spots where the stitches were going through the skin? If so it should not be a problem.

Hmm... I hope it's nothing bad. :(
I had something similar (I know I am human, he's a cat ^_^), it was troublesome and after some time a bit of puss(?) came out and I had to take pills and such.
Let's hope for the best.

Fingers crossed that this is just part of the healing process. At least the vet will be open if you need to call for advice!

You might want to post photo to Vet, looks like incision is open might need some Neosporin.

If the holes aren't bleeding and the original scar isn't opening up, then they're probably fine. Just feel around to see if it feels hot or infected.

His Speedo days are OVER!

*cracks up again*

I hope all is well, though. That is a gnarly incision.

Poor little baby cat.
