Stumblings

I stumbled over a tax break yesterday. You can take a $300 deduction off your taxes even if you don't itemize for a gift to a charity. I'm kind of surprised that more charities are not using this for marketing.

I also stumbled over a phone/tablet game for Biggie. (This latter was on an Instagram post by the Humane Society - they same folks that brought Biggie to me - damm, you, Instagram. You make it so hard to quit.)

It has a mouse or a spider or these silver balls and other stuff. He's partial, actually, to the spider. If he steps on it, he gets a noise and the screen reacts.

Today I am going to stumble outside! Yes. I am. I ordered pickup. It's a bunch of stuff from an Asian restaurant that will last me for several days. Their restaurant isn't too far from here and they have a handy, dandy pickup window.

That's all the stumbling I've got right now.

Biggie's cat door has little weights at the bottom that click when they hit the door frame. It's a noise I've gotten used to - the Biggie in/out noise. Today, however, the wind is so gusty, I'm getting Biggie in and out noises while he's in the bedroom snoozing away. It's caught me off guard several times this morning.

Drat! I'm about 1/3rd into a very good book and the library just pinged me that one of my holds is ready for me. This happens every time. The dance of the holds. When I need a new book, none of my holds are available yet. When I'm in the middle of one, they all come available. My tribulations and trials almost could not be more frivolous.

Oh! and speaking of frivolous - Netflix has a special out that is just chock full of delights. Death to 2020 hits ever nail on the head with a delicate, hilarious hammer. I think I might have to go back and rewatch to make sure I got all of the jokes because there were so many and they were so on point and so clever.

You will finish When She Was Good in plenty of time to pick up the Miss Farewell one. Just a thought.

Although Biggie looks adorable looking at his game, you're braver than me! I'm not letting my cats' scimitars anywhere near my screens. I guess that's your reward for diligently clipping his claws. Mine wear theirs down by climbing trees and doing generalised evil.
