I'm not a big celebrator or observer of year out year in. I used to have a good friend who would get so frustrated with me that I did not care about resolutions or reviews. I have financial things that mark the turning of the year and my medication charges change but, really, that's it.

For me September is far more of a first of the year thing (school scars, I suppose). And February with Spring Training. This year, mid-March will be a milestone.

But, today? Today is Thursday.

I had a bunch of different dreams last night - nearly all corporate. I woke up from each with relief that they weren't real but none were bad. Just getting work stuff done. No COVID since my mind doesn't know anything about working in a pandemic. In one of them, my boss gave me a giant bonus for a project I accomplished well. That was a really nice one.

I was crocheting along yesterday and all of a sudden hit on a very pleasing color grouping. I was enjoying the hexagons so I found a better hexagon pattern and I think we may have the beginning of a very nice something.

Biggie's tummy continues to improve. Parts of it are officially healed. The rest will follow, I'm sure. We had a bit of a crisis here this morning when I discovered that my secret stash of kitty treats was empty. And my current supply isn't going to last til I go shopping next Wednesday. Thankfully, Amazon to the rescue. I have zero way to explain to Biggie that there will be no treats until I go shopping again.

I have no reason to leave the house today. I have fabulous food left from yesterday's pick up. And plenty to keep me entertained.

I've always felt that the new year starts in the fall due to school. January 1 is a silly holiday. I've never felt the need to celebrate it. In fact, for the past two years I worked on January 1 so I could take Martin Luther King day off instead.

I love those colors together.

I'm pretty sure even if you could explain it to Biggie, he would not be impressed.

I like that color combination too.

I've been loyal to Red Heart, but have been eyeing other makers. Currently, I am enjoying running a variegated color with a solid. I also want a washable fiber for afghans.

I love to crochet, knit or spin. It is so relaxing.
