I am going to mark the New Year and I'm gonna do it twice. Or, more precisely, two ways.
I killed off a good bit of this morning planning a temperature scarf. It started out as a blanket but then I figured a scarf would be more likely to get done. I divided up the probable Seattle annual temperature range into 5 degree increments and assigned a color to each group. Then I made a spreadsheet of days.
Now, every Monday, I'll add 7 rows to the scarf. The color of each row will be whatever the high temperature for that day was. This is by no means an original idea. Knitters and crocheters do this every year with blankets and scarves and all manner of things. I just never have and now I will.
And I'm goint to take a Picture Of The Day. Mid day, every single day. I will position my phone in the same place and shoot this shot.

This is not even original to me. I've done it before. I took a picture of the Kingdome every day for several years. I took a picture of The Tree That I Hate every day for a year (except weirdly there are only 280 pix in the album - musta been a short year). I took a picture of my knitting basket every day for a while.
So, actually, I've done this a lot and now I'm going to do it again!!
