It's just ridiculous

It's just ridiculous how much I love Popeye's Fried Chicken. I drove all the way there, waited in line (in the car) and when I placed my order they said it would be 20 minutes. I said No Problem. I waited 25 minutes. I got home and they fucked up my order. I ordered all dark meat and it was half white meat.

But, you know what? I don't care! It was still heaven. Just amazingly wonderful. I had way too many pieces for lunch and divided up the rest - two bags for the freezer and one for the fridge. The only thing better than Popeye's for lunch is knowing that, without leaving this room, I could have Popeye's for lunch every single day for two weeks. I have Popeye's food security.

Now it is all put away and I am fat dumb and happy.

Time to watch CBS Sunday Morning and get a little crochet time in.

I rarely get it anymore but I just adore Popeye's. And their fried okra is heaven.

oh, you are torturing me... our Popeye's does not even have fried okra on the menu. Today, they didn't even have coleslaw. so I am just trying to double down on the chicken goodness.

We don't have a Popeye's around here, in fact, I have never had it! But we do have a place called Fiesta Chicken and I love it, yum!

I'm glad to note that we're not the only ones who prefer dark meat (chicken and turkey) to white. This is why we always buy chicken thighs rather than breasts to cook. White poultry meat tends to be dry and uninteresting in my opinion.

Your opinion is the correct one. I don't mind white meat in sandwiches but other than that, it's a waste of meat. Gimme a thigh any day.
