Yesterday, I needed a cowl cause my neck was cold. The only one I had clashed so badly with my shirt, I hated to pass a mirror. Plus it was scratchy. So this morning, I decided to make a new one out of a non clashy soft yarn.

I looked in my Works In Progress bag to see if I had any of that soft denim yarn and found a piece I started a while back - I think it was going to be a sleeveless cardigan. It never really got far.



But it was 9 stitches away from the perfect size for a cowl. So I finished it off, seamed it up and...

BINGO!!



Before that, I was scrolling through Instagram and a local foodie I follow posted about a pastry box she had delivered. I clicked on through and found that there is a bakery in town who delivers boxes every weekend of 6 random pastries. This week's are:

●thai tea croissant
●brioche with olives, potatoes, and rosemary
●twice baked almond ginger croissant with pears
●muffin with sour cherries
●snickerdoodle cookie

If you order by 2 pm today, you get one tomorrow. I could not hit 'BUY' fast enough. This is my dream come true. I could become a serial orderer.

So, yeah, things are pretty awesome here today.

Oh wow. I am afraid to even look to see if someone around here would deliver pastry to me. I'd go broke and weigh as much as a truck. I love pastry.

The cowl does look nice! In the pictures, the first one looked more gray than denim colored but the one where you are modeling shows the blue better and it looks really nice!

I've looked around here and there is not even a decent pastry anywhere close. Probably just as well. Lovely cowl.

It's pretty common. there have been a couple of services that deliver, but they stop in Burien and don't come all the way down here. I just need to find similar things in Tacoma that deliver north.

But you do have easy access to stuff we don't... probably stuff you don't care about but in different times, I totally covet your Red Lobster and your Papa Murphy's.

That ginger croissant sounds absolutely exquisite. It's a good thing there are none anywhere near me that I know of.

What is a "Thai tea croissant"?
