About an hour before I turn out the light, I get ready for bed and get into bed with my audio book and a tablet with a mindless game. While I listen and play, I take off my watch and charge it. Last night, I forgot to put it back on so Fitbit has no opinion about how I slept. We only have my word on it and I say it was good. Really good. I am so going to miss cold nights. I figured we still have a month of really cold ones. Then a couple of months of semi-cold ones. Then it's hot weather sleeping.

My webhosting company made a change. They gave me ample warning and instructions which I only partially paid attention to so starting last night, susandennis.com turned into 404 land. I opened a ticket. And immediately, got a really nice, simple note with all the info I needed in the way I could understand it and I was able to make the fix.

In the early days of websites, web hosting companies were ephemeral at best. You'd go in and set up your website and the company would disappear in two weeks taking your work with them. It was wild. I learned backup, offsite backup, backup to your backup and always register your domain with a company different than your web host.

But then I found TotalChoiceHosting. I just looked and discovered that I found them in 2005. Wow. That's like a million web years ago. They were cheap then and now they are cheaper in that I have about 4 times the bandwidth and data storage for the same price. I keep old stuff there but also build pages for my own use all the time. So it's a nice have. Plus, their support has always been superior.

Susandennis.com should be back tomorrow-ish. (I have backup of my most used pages at blogspot.com - backup/backup/backup.

I have not been very good about getting out of the house. Maybe my once-a-month grocery shopping needs to morph into to an every other day thing. I don't know. What I really need is to just go out and walk and I live in the perfect spot for it and the weather is great for it right now. And I know I won't do it. Sigh. But, today, I'm going to Goodwill. It's seniors day and why not.

Shower time.

I so understand about the walking. Here I am in TN, where it's a balmy 70 degrees and everything is blooming. Do I go out and walk? I think about it every day. And then don't do it. (shakes head!)

I suspect that it's helpful that our household has two members; if one of us is inclined to blow off the daily walk, the other is there to encourage taking it.

I looked over the hosting site — It looks good. I'm actually in the market for a new one. I'm dissatisfied with the host I'm using right now. I'm looking for someplace that isn't part of a giant 'shareholder' consolidation that will squeeze every last dime by downgrading services. I hate C-Panel though. 😋

Cold nights and a warm cat mean good sleeping.

Zoe is my taskmaster. EVERY day we walk. I managed to talk her out of it one day a couple of weeks ago. Once I stop working I will not have any excuse. However, it has made such a difference to me. I was thinking today about the Vitamin D I get just with the walk. And the up and down stability. And just to be out. People talk about being locked up in the pandemic and I quickly realized that Zoe was my savior. There was hardly ever a day other than when we were snowed in that I didn't walk. It made all the difference.

You need a nice neighbor to move in who needs a dog walker.
