Today's the day that season ticket holders can buy tickets to the first 11 Mariner home games. I am only tempted because... free. It's one of the perks of rolling over my ticket refund from 2020 to 2021. But, as they send out a near daily explainer, they are getting more clear. Turns out, the free ticket(s) - I suspect I get only one - code is good all season. And, since I can (and will) roll my refund over again to 2022, I might just hold on to the free ticket for a bit. Or not.

They have assigned times for the rolling ticket buying windows. Mine is 4 pm.

I went out this morning to pick up my pastry. But, Susan, I thought you were taking a week off! Yes, that was the plan but then she added a chocolate bobka to the mix and I caved.

I think I can make this last a good part of the week. It's delicious.

On my way to the pickup place, I noticed the new Amazon Fresh store now has their signs up. This is not an Amazon Go or a Whole Foods but a net new hybrid. They started hiring a while back and now have paper on the windows. It's street level to a new apartment complex and I could not, before today, figure out where in the building it was going to be. Now, at least, I have that answer. It will be fairly convenient for me BUT since I can never find things I want at Amazon Go or Whole Foods, I'm not holding out a big hope this one will be the Goldilocks of Groceries. Looks like we'll find out sooner than later.

I have too many clothes. Chucking out what you haven't worn in a year does not exactly work for me or for these times. I have too many Mariner game day tops which I honestly do not need at all. I have paper sewing patterns for clothes I will never make again (and, if that changes, I an easily recreate the patterns), taking up closet space. I need to clear shit out regain some space so that I can find stuff when I want it.

The above paragraph was brought to you by the beloved sweatshirt it took way too long to find today.

Probably this will not be today's project but soon. Today I want to finish up the yarn stuff I started yesterday. Dig out the rest of that deep drawer where the winder was hiding. And I have a couple of more other little chores around the house that I'd like to get done.

Biggie's roaming around like he's bored which is not good. I'm pretty sure I heard him helping himself to some stuff on the hall shelf a bit ago. Better go find out what he did.

I totally forgot about bobka. That would be a perfect recipe to use up all our croissant dough scraps. The problem with making perfect pastries is that you end up with a lot of dough scraps, and then you have to figure out how to use them.

Today's the day that season ticket holders can buy tickets to the first 11 Mariner home games.

We got our day on Wednesday. The Red Sox offered season-ticket holders who had the 2020 money in their accounts an opportunity to buy tickets to up to six games in April and May (two transactions, in each of which we got to choose one game from each of three sets [early, middle, and late, with some overlap]). I bought all six and offered up to three to my co-owners, only one of whom took me up on it¹ for one game. So on April 7 we will actually get to our first game in Fenway Park since September of 2019. (That's a day game, so hopefully it won't be too< cold.)

They haven't decided what's happening after May; presumably it depends on how things are going and what the state is allowing (currently 12% capacity).

¹I'm a little troubled by the fact that several of these people didn't respond at all; I hope they're OK.
