On the Last Sunday Of Normal, last year, I met [livejournal.com profile] seattlejo for breakfast at Endolyne Joe's. It's not really half way between us only it's a little more this year than last since with the bridge out, I have to go around my elbow to get there, but, I digress...

People were already mostly working from home. At the restaurant, they were already making for distance between groups dining and Deb and I were discussing the potential dangers of my still swimming at the gym. The next morning, I got up and swam as usual and by noon that Monday (March 16), the governor announced a statewide shut down of very nearly everything.

We may be pushing it, but, this Sunday, we are going back. It's my birthday and we're going to chance it. Deb's been in restaurants and around and her husband has been going in to work this whole time so it will likely not be as weird for her but it's going to be very strange to me. I'm looking forward to it. It's time to get my money's worth out of this vaccine!

This morning, while I was walking on the treadmill, it just stopped. So weird. I had to turn it off and turn it back on again and it ran fine for another 10 mins or so and then just stopped again. It's never done that before. Clearly a tech issue and not the treadmill part. I walk slowly and while jolting, it did not throw me off balance. [livejournal.com profile] xinas_island, has that ever happened to you? Of course, the Bodycraft people are of zero help ever and it's out of warranty. The second time it happened, my hand had touched the heartbeat sensor and hit some static electricity and I wonder if that is/was the cause? I think those sensors will be getting taped up today in hopes that fixes it. I sure don't want to be buying a new treadmill. I like this one fine. Except only when it works.

My plans today including going through that bookmark file I created and seeing what's there and deleting most. And that's it. I have no other plans or things that need to happen. I have books to read and crochet to hook and tv to watch - plenty of haps around here.

Yep, It has happened to me a few months back. For me, it was because it overheated I think. I used compressed air to blow out the vents just in case cat hair accumulated and vacuumed everything I could on it, and let the motor cool down and it's been fine again so far. =)

That's probably a good idea. My sensors are covered by my laptop so I can't bump them, but if they weren't then I'd tape over them too. 😁

Oh Ugh. I can believe it. I'm with you, I'd rather it just lasted forever.

Some of our gyms are open with limited space. My partner's mom has been going to some gym classes here and there. I haven't yet ventured into any buildings, but we have half of our vaccine. It's a start. I don't know when things will look a little better and be more safe, but I hope to eventually start swimming, myself. That and walking is the best way for me to get moving. I haven't been doing much of either. I wish we had more space for a treadmill!

Hope you have a good Monday and a great week, friend!

Hey, you're moving. So, like you said, it's better than nothing. Once we get into a better place I hope to invest into a treadmill. Even if I slow walk, Id like to get moving. I don't move nearly enough! Aside from having to go up and down our stairs. Which I often avoid. LOL
