1. I ordered a mat for my treadmill. It sits on very low pile carpeting but still. Maybe. I'm grasping at straws here. I should have done this when I first got the treadmill, actually.

2. Today is the 21st anniversary of the implosion of the Kingdome. The Kingdome was a stadium across the street sitting where the football stadium sits today. It had tons of issues and was ugly but I loved it. I had a very clear view of the whole demise because The Tree That I Hate topped off about midway up the floor below me back then. I took a photo every day from the day they announced the Kingdome was going to be killed until the new stadium opened. The very old and ugly web pages live on with the saddest little 30 pixel photos. I remember that implosion as one of my memory milestones.

3. And speaking of milestones... I will - assuming the treadmill doesn't stop me - turn 72 on Sunday. I know, from experience, that there are lots of birthday wishes coming but I have a favor to ask instead. [livejournal.com profile] spacefem did this on her birthday and I thought it was enchanting and fun so I am just flat out copying her.

I want questions. Ask me anything. I will answer everyone with respect, I promise. The question can be silly or profound or profane or personal or not. Whatever you want to know. That's what I want for my happy birthday wishes this year, please.

Thanks.

This is going to be hard. You're so open and commutative about all aspects of your life. I'll have to think of something I don't already know about you.

Alright I have one. If you could go back in time and give the a young, college aged Susan some advice, what would it be? .... other than the pitfalls of experimenting with marriage.

Oh, I love to ask questions! Here goes:

1. What kind of work did you do before retirement? (I'm not very techy.)
2. What kind of advice to you have for someone approaching retirement age? What were your best retirement decisions and worst ones?
3. How did you come to get Biggie? What's the story of you two?
4. Where did you grow up? How did you get to Seattle?
5. How the heck did you figure out how to link all your gadgets through whatever software you use? This is a mystery to me.
6. How many cats have you had in your life? Care to share details? I love cat stories.

I'll probably think of more later.....

Fun! Ok, here goes....
1. What moment in the last year brought you the most joy?
2. What decision (or decisions) most shaped your life as it is now?
3. Aside from Biggie and having enough eggs, what is the thing in your home that brings you the most comfort or contentment?
4. If your mom was alive, what would you like for her to know about your life now?
5. What's your favourite colour?

Happy early birthday!

* What quality did your ex-husband have that caused you to fall in love with him?

* Which of his qualities made you decide you were better off on your own?

* Are you sorry yet that you asked for all these questions? Lol

Happy Birthday in advance. You have such a great relationship with your brother why do you not get along with your sister?

What was your first pet? Siblings do not count. They should but they don't.

You have unlimited funds and can travel anywhere in a world free of COVID: where would you go? Or would you go at all?

What is your favorite memory?

Oh wow. I haven't lived there since 1998, so I had no idea the Kingdome was gone. !

I remember going to see the Mariners at the Kingdome when it was still new and my uncle was super excited about having a baseball team there.

My question for you is how did you get so interested in baseball?

And I remember getting to see a Red Sox-Mariners game at Fenway Park for heavily-discounted prices – because the series had been scheduled for Seattle but had to be moved to Boston because of falling ceiling tiles (or some such) in the Kingdome. I think that series featured the Major League debut of one Alex Rodriguez.

The Kingdome implosion was epic, but not as epic as the dust cloud, which I expect you got full in the face.

Happy birthday questions!

1. What piece of advice would you give us all concerning what not to do?

2. Is there any big thing you'd still like to experience/accomplish in the future?

3. What taste don't you like?

1. Please describe a typical Saturday in your life when you were ten years old.

2. Has there been one decade in your life that was better than any other?

3. If you could have a do-over of your life, what would you do differently, if anything?

Happy Birthday! It’s such a pleasure having you around and knowing about your life.

Question:

What would an “ideal day of eating and drinking” be for you? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks... or whatever structure you’d like!

You’re getting so many good questions! And of course... happy birthday!

1) what’s the best thing about MLB? What would you change?

2) what’s your favorite healthy food?

3) what color trends are inspiring your projects this year?
