Birthday Answers

Honestly, I wouldn’t do it. Waste of breath. Young college aged Susan would have blown me off without a lick of gratitude for my efforts. But I think I would have at least tried to encouraged her to be kinder to people. Or, at a minimum, to keep them in the dark about any negative feelings towards them.

Good point! I'm not sure I can give my college-aged self any advice she would have known how to take. Quite frankly, even if my life didn't go in the direction I thought it would in college and I went through some tough years, I am not sure what I could have done differently. So better to simply remind myself to watch my attitude and be kind. Maybe more kindness would have helped those tougher times.
