2. What's your favorite season?

I think Fall. I hate Summer because I hate blinding sun and being hot. I'm actually fine with Winter and Spring is ok because it brings me baseball. But Autumn seems to say, ahhhhhh whew, it’s over - all that heat and relentless sun is giving up the ghost. Probably left over from school years, it feels like a new beginning every year - a fresh start - a chance to finally get it right.

I'm with you on liking fall the best. And, for the same reason! Spring is nice, but it is also the harbinger of the heat that is to come. So - I'm full of dread. I've got lots more energy in the fall because suddenly the stifling energy-sapping heat has been removed. Also - there's nothing more beautiful than fall foliage!

Fall must be beautiful where you live. I am a winter person, but really...what does that even mean when one lives in Phoenix? Hah

Do you think that your opinion on this changes in different parts of the country? It's interesting that you mention things like baseball or the school year, where the experience of a season isn't directly connected to the weather but to events that tend to happen in that season.

i actually think most people love summer. i just don't. although it brings me baseball, i still dread it and am so happy when it's done. your point is better taken with school. i suspect my 'new year, new beginnings' feelings in fall are directly related to school years — even now.
