Last night, I slept with the bed flat because I didn't want it get stuck in an up position again. Tonight, I'll raise it up a little because if it doesn't go back down, no big deal for one more day. And Monday the new bed will be here.

I spent a enormous amount of time yesterday doing the research I should have done before forking over the cash. Turns out, I would have picked what I bought. Most of the other contenders do not have a full sized option they go from twin to queen. Amazon sells a boatload of different kinds of adjustable beds but my key driver was the installation and removal PLUS the maintenance agreement so no Amazon for me, thanks.

I did fall asleep last night in the middle of a come from behind victory? for the Mariners. This morning, I got up and onto the treadmill and fired up TiVo and watched the rest of the game and it was indeed a victory in the bottom of the 9th. Quite satisfactory. The soccer team had creamed their opponents earlier - good night for the 'hood.

Biggie is clearly going through something. All day yesterday he just kind of hang around watching me. This morning, he almost bit me once but it was like he was not really trying hard - more of a deliberate chomp and miss. We did have a great game of chase the laser last night... until he got bored. It has been warm these past two days and he's spent a lot of yesterday out on the terrace and he's there this morning, too. He's also two which even in people years is early 20's. He's finding himself. Just now... He's such a looker.

No big plans for today. Maybe laundry.

Tomorrow is a big day. I'm finally actually really going to meet the newly vaccinated [livejournal.com profile] seattlejo for brunch. We last met at this place in March of 2020 the day before Washington shut everything down. We're going back there tomorrow. I have not sat down in a restaurant since that last brunch. It's going to be quite exciting.

Sorry that you missed the Mariners comeback, it was really something. The bad news is that Kikuchi seems to have the same problem he's had for the past two seasons: giving up the big inning. But the great news is that this year's version of the Mariners (currently in first place) never give up.

I've been a huge Kyle Seager fan from day one and it pissed me off big time when Kevin Mather disparaged Kyle, when the reality is that Seager has always gave his heart and soul to the team. He drove in two runs to tie the game last night and it looks like he's destined to make his last year of the big contract a great one. While I know it will never happen, I think it would be awesome if he stayed in an M's uniform next year and the Mariners signed his brother Corey, who enters free agency next year. [Sadly that won't happen because Corey will command Mookie Betts type money, something the Ms will never pay.]

Sorry, my inner baseball nerd demon took control again.

Maybe he's hearing the call of the wild. Spring weather does that to cats.
