Last night
Apr. 19th, 2021 09:07 amMy bed adjusted normally last night. I haven't checked to see if it will flatten this morning but, know what?, I don't care!! The new bed arrives today.
My two hour window is 2:15-4:15. Ashley, at the store, warned me that the delivery end was a bit of an over communicator. I was worried by 5:30 yesterday when I hadn't heard anything and then BAM! 6:07. I got a text, an email and a robo call all at the same time! Cracked me up. So the wait begins.
Yesterday was the first day that I kept the sliding glass doors (my only access to outside in this loft) open all day. It was nice temperature wise but my lungs just do not like outside air. They feel like they are in a constant dust storm. And, to add insult to injury, some asshat is out there now with a leave blower on the street just below my still open door. What a lovely sound. At least it's not bagpipes.
The forecast calls for more reasonable temperatures for the next couple of weeks and then I'll set up the air conditioner and not worry about it again until next October.
Not a peep from my closet rod I ordered last week. I did not expect fast service but I kind of really want that damn thing. Unlike the bed folks, I get zero tracking/info/anything except an order number and a promise to ship in 3-5 business days.
My new hand held vacuum arrives today. It's a new product that some early orderers got last week. Reddit reports the gamut from 'no suction' to 'this thing works great!' I'm hoping for the latter. I have a lot of small corners and a whole car that needs suck. My old hand held quit sucking a while back and I've been waiting for this one. It's coming via Fed Ex which means it will get here likely before lunch.
So, while I wait for the bed, I'll suck up dust and debris.
While I wait for the vac, I think I'll take a shower and get dressed and strip the bed.

Date: 2021-04-19 06:49 pm (UTC)That's a neat looking little vacuum. I look forward to your thoughts on how well it works. I really need something like that. I have a regular vacuum the cleaner uses and I keep it in the downstairs closet, which is fine but it's a pain to lug it upstairs if I spill something small on the rug.
