susandennis(For my birthday, I asked for Ask Me Anything Questions. I got so many wonderful ones. I'm answering them in entries from here until I get to the end. If you think of something you want to ask, just leave a comment or a note. Deadline is totally not a thing.)

Were you a "normal" child as in fitting in with the others or were you more "nerdy" even if that was not a thing back then?
Ha. We had nerds but I don’t think I made the cut. Back then. I did learn how to use a slide rule but only because I thought it would be a cool thing to know how to do, like driving a stick shift. No longer a necessary skill but handy and cool. I still have my original slide rule with my notes on it. NFW could I even begin to use it now. I was good at math but not great - only a teensy bit above average. I was mostly a horrible student and hated school. I wallowed in that gynormous pool of mediocre kids - not one of the cool kids by a long shot. And not smart and not nerdy. I was just a kid with more than usual advantages who couldn’t be bothered to take advantage of them.
