Stupid Fenway Park

Baseball parks without roofs should be illegal. Our game is scheduled for 10:10. I'm guessing that's when they will postpone it due to rain in Boston. Then, for the next xx hours it will be big old on again/off again muddy mess for the rest of the day. Really. Ugh. Stupid Fenway Park.

But it is truly lovely to have that as the main annoyance of the day. Biggie is very busy. Outside, inside, helping with laundry, scouting out birds, etc. The UGE. And I'm so grateful.

We are doing laundry. The second load is going now. And, that's about it for the plans du jour.

Just a quiet day ahead of a drama free week - lordwilling.

IT does seem kind of dumb to build a huge stadium and not put a roof. Especially since the game is called for rain.

The stadium the Red Sox play in was built in 1912. Nobody was putting roofs on baseball stadiums then.

Well, as it turned out, the start of the game was delayed by a whopping 7 minutes. And now we're even.

I suspect that trying to retrofit a roof, especially a retractable one, to Fenway Park would be a daunting task, if not entirely impracticable.
