(For my birthday, I asked for Ask Me Anything Questions. I got so many wonderful ones. I'm answering them in entries from here until I get to the end. If you think of something you want to ask, just leave a comment or a note. Deadline is totally not a thing.)

3. If you could have a do-over of your life, what would you do differently, if anything?

I’d love to say that I would do it better. I’d be smarter. I wouldn’t blow off my education and try to skate by with the minimum. I’d be way nicer to my parents, to everyone. And I’d spend a lot more of my time, money and energy helping others.

But, I’m not sure any of that is true. I wish some of it was, but if I had a do-over, I’d probably do everything exactly the same way. And, you know, I’m ok with that. My mistakes were stepping stones. I learned how to work around them and that was as important an education as the one in school. I have had a really great, rich, rewarding life. Doing anything over would likely just fuck up the eco-balance!

I have a long standing belief that I made the decisions I did knowing what I did at the time, so there’s no point in second-guessing myself.
