I did get out. I drove up to Uwjimaya but parked 3 blocks away. I went through Daiso but didn't buy. In Uwjimaya I went to the Thai place in the food court. This Thai place used to have a great crispy chicken and a really good orange chicken that you could also get them with pad thai noodles. And they were cheap. Now they have a new menu and noodles are off the table as an option with the chicken dishes. And also cheap is out the window. And, discovered when I got home, they are no longer wonderfully delicious. Sigh. Oh well.
I washed all the dirty clothes in the house and have now dried and put all away except for two pair of pants. I dump from the dryer onto the bed and he claimed the pants with the first load and will not relinquish. Fine. I'll get 'em later.
I got a notice from Amazon Pharmacy that it was time to order up another Spiriva inhaler for my COPD. This is the pricey inhaler that I'm supposed to take 2 puffs every day. If I take 2 puffs every day, come August, Medicare drug insurance hits my limit and it goes from $57 a month to $400 a month. So I thought what if I went down to 1 puff a day... I Googled this to death and found forums where people reported doing this and getting along fine. So, why not try it. I've been doing it since January. 1 puff a day. And I can't really tell much difference in my breathing. I've had to use my rescue inhaler a little more than usual but really not that much.
So now I have a little stockpile. I checked it today and I have enough to get me to January if nothing goes haywire. And there is enough Medicare insurance money to get me 4 more if I need them. So win win. I think I'm going to just hold off on any refills until I get closer to the end of the year. But, I really feel like I won this game.
