The snowflake state!
May. 10th, 2021 09:45 amThe New York Times featured a COVID map on the top front today. The US showing recovery state by state. Most states are fully open. Some are mostly open. Some have plans to be open. A handful are FUCK NO! Washington State is in the FUCK NO! category. No plans right now to ever be fully open again. Sweet. [Edit: The Seattle Times, this morning, published a neighborhood map of who's been vaccinated... Shocking to no one, I'm sure, the wealthy neighborhoods are all 70%. The poor neighborhoods are struggling to get to 40%.]
Meanwhile the Mariners, ever in denial about everything, have created a vaccination section/s where people can crowd in together. I've now gotten several emails on how to get a ticket in the crowded section. I've read through them several times and they are so convoluted that I still don't understand. But, what I really don't understand is why the fuck you would want to??? Your other option is to sit surrounded by empty seats to put your coats on in rows with no other people so no one is crossing across to get to the aisle a million times per game... The whole thing is a massive head scratcher.
I have a few little chores around the house today. Nothing major. I may set up the air conditioner. It's halfway done now and I want to clear out that area where it has been stored.
My scooter is all charged and ready to go if I want to take it out. I was thinking about it last night. I never use it. I should donate it or sell it but having it available is valuable to me. It means that if the shit hits the fan, or my lungs, or a leg or foot or whatever, I could still get around. Get to a grocery store. Get to a drug store. Get what I needed on my own. I'm keeping it. It makes me feel secure. Plus, I'll use it to get to ballgames next year.
Now I need to dig out the touch up paint and hope the lime green is still useable.
