I just called the LA Fitness in West Seattle. This is the pool I used to go to every day - the one across the bridge that won't reopen til next Summer. Next Wednesday, is house cleaner day. I need to be out of the house for at least a couple of hours and that's about how long it will take me to get to that pool and back and swim*. A nice lady told me that they have the same basic set up as the one in Ballard, EXCEPT, they have an option for reserving for 1 hour!

So, next Tuesday, I'll call one or the other or both and get a slot for a Wednesday morning swim.

*Although the trip is longer, it is kind of easier (fewer traffic lights) AND there are things along the way - Popeye's, the Dollar Store, Safeway, Papa Murphy's...

And with that, I just talked myself into it and called back to see if they had anything tomorrow. Saturday, not too much traffic maybe? "I have a slot for an hour at 9, will that work for you?" Heck to the YES!

By the time the 8th inning rolled around last night I was exhausted my left upper arm and shoulder and my neck were so sore. I left it up to the Mariners to finish without me and fell into a coma. This morning, I'm rested and the arm and neck are fine. Oh and the Mariners won in a shut out.

Today I had no plans but now maybe I'll make a swimsuit! But also, of course, there will be TV and knitting. I haven't totally lost myself.

Ooh!

Will we at least be allowed to see the swimsuit fabric? Pretty please?

My first thought when I read this was ... Is Susan pitching for the Mariners? :)

Yay!!!! I've been sneakily hoping you'd take on the longer commute so you could get a better swim:).

I didn't know you had to help with baseball, too. When I help with the equestrian stuff my stomach muscles always hurt. :)
