Murphy's door lock

So. My deadbolt lock on my front door is Smart-ish or Smart-adjacent. When I'm approaching the door from the hallway, if I have my phone with me, the door unlocks automagically. Oh so handy. But, it has spells. It goes through periods when it just doesn't work. Oh so annoying. So I got the keypad. Since I got the keypad, it has failed to work exactly 0 times.

Yes, I can pull out the key to unlock it, like a cave man. But who wants to do that???

OMG Twitter just informed me the F. Lee Bailey just died. He clearly falls in the 'he was still alive????' bucket. And, turns out he was only 87. I would have said he was a great deal older and less alive. Glad I didn't have money on it.

The ride to the pool was annoying. Lots of traffic and just as I started across the draw bridge, they stopped everything to raise it for a stupid boat. It's really a horrible trip there and horrible trip back but oh man is that swim fabulous. Swimming on weekends will be better. Well, maybe not the swimming but the getting there and back will for sure be less painful.

I was starving when I got home. I made another huge chef salad. Delicious. Now I need to clean up the kitchen and then it's knitting time.

Isn't the fact that we can say "only 87" a real sign of how old we are?

I actually had that thought as i was writing it. That bar keeps moving up and up, doesn't it? Probably most who read that thought I was being sarcastic.
