The grommet and suction hooks I ordered were to be delivered on Wednesday but last night I kept rolling the project over in my brain until finally the correct answer popped in.

VELCRO!! Duh. Canceled the Amazon order. I have tons of velcro in this house and a nice big roll with industrial sticky on the back. The perfect solution. I need to finish off the sides of the curtains to fit the door and then stick on the velcro and bam. Done. I can take down whenever. The velcro is white so blends into the door frame. Perfect. So glad I thought of this now instead of after I did all the grommet work!

So that will be the afternoon's project. This morning is swimming.

It's been a while since Biggie has successfully bitten me. Twice he's put his teeth on my skin and then backed right off. At the times when I think he might be bitey, I hold my hands in front of his nose and that immediately distracts him. The laser is also good. I'd love to think he was over this biting thing.

Yesterday I lost my keys and found them with Tile. I now have a Tile fob of two sets of keys, my wallet, my inhaler and my mobility scooter. They all have batteries that cannot be replaced and I have no way of knowing how much life is left. (A real failing of the Tile situation.) I've had them a long time so I'm thinking one or more may need replacement soon. They are pricey little devils but man, have they saved my bacon. I'm hoping Tile will hop on the Prime Days band wagon at the end of the month and drop their prices so I can pick up some replacements.

Ok, time now to suit up and hit the road.

I never learned how to swim, but I imagine I'd be an expert at drowning! :-)

Ah — I used the self adhesive velcro solution to put the voile curtains over the French doors in the conservatory, so I can open the door and let the voile fill the gap to prevent bees trying to take a short cut and getting stuck.

The new tile versions — the pro and mate — have replaceable batteries. I really like it much better. Now only the credit card sized one and the stickers can’t have batteries replaced, and they have improved the life to three years.

I buy them from tile themselves via the app at usually 30% off. I’ve let all my tiles expire during the pandemic… when I start traveling again they’ll all get new batteries.
