Monday bits and pieces

I did add chopped up apple to my spam/potato/onion hash and tried it this morning with my egg. Win. It was just what the hash needed. I have it now divided into single servings that are just the right size. Breakfast easy.

I'm thinking about doing Barack On The Treadmill. A while back I bought his book - the audio version. He does the reading. It's a whopper - 29 hours. I'm on the hunt now for my next fictional read but I think I'm going to use my treadmill time with Barack. At 25 mins a shot 5 days a week, I will be set for about two terms, I think.

Biggie was far more chill about Robby this morning. He (Biggie) was eating at his food tree when he (Robby) was sucking up around it. Biggie didn't even move. Just kept on eating.

Today's plan is to finish my sweater.



I have two more inches on the bottom and then need to replace that green holder yarn with a proper edge on the collar, and sew in two buttons. I really like this sweater. It fits perfectly. Fun to knit and fun to wear. The best. The pattern is called Dacite and is available on Ravelry and on the designer's website. I'm going to make at least one more - in colors that I like.

I just did an audit of my prescriptions and my insurance. My drug insurance is run my Medicare donut hole rules basically this means my coverage ends at a certain dollar amount. I'm halfway there but I also cut down my usage of the big ticket inhaler so now it's a balance. I want to buy up as much as I can and still stay under the dollar limit. I can only buy once a month. I'm fine with stockpiling though. Also I want to make sure that when my COPD gets worse, I'll have the drugs on hand or the insurance to buy as needed. It's like buying short stocks. A tricky business.

I think might go to Costco today. I need bacon and gas. And some leg stretching.

But first I need to get dressed. And before that a shower.

I was going to go to Costco today but decided to save the bucks and put it off for a couple of days. I've got plenty of food and already walked. So I guess I won't see you there.

I did his audiobook a year or so ago. It's well done, but I thought he spent too much time on the end of his first term and the beginning of the second. Would have enjoyed more personal stories ... well .. of his personal life.
Maybe something like his wife wrote. :)

I love the jacket — but realise I have already knitted myself more than I need — I really need to do a couple of jumpers/sweaters instead :)
