So this isn't the one in Chicago who is still buying clothes at Sears. Or the dentist in Michigan. Or Susan Dennis the real estate agent in Arizona. Or the Susan Dennis in Georgia. Oh no.. this is a net new Susan Dennis and her pizza plus lots of other food is ready for pick up in Long Neck, Delaware!

Love the must show credit card at pickup. Thankfully, we don't do that here.

I do not understand why the Susan Dennis' of the world cannot ever get their own email address right. I love the sharing but really, how are you going to know your food is ready when the email comes to me???

I googled my own name and the two most interesting responses were the title of a blues song and a woman who died of cancer who had a daughter with the same name as my mother who had also died of cancer.

Oh man, you've kept track!

I get so many Deborah King emails, it's ridiculous. What other Deb's have done is put a number between the first and last name but if the sender forgets and sends to debking at Gmail, I get them, at least once a week. Sometimes I contact the sender, especially when it looks like important information, but most of the time I shake my head and mumble "they're going to need to figure this out on their own"

lol!

My online orders almost always say I have to show credit card at pickup. I always carry it in my pocket just in case. I did a lot of online food ordering over the last year. Number of times someone actually asked to see my credit card: 0.

I
m wondering why they, the providers, don
t tell people that this or that email address is no longer available? Here they do, at least gmail does.

Yes, of course, but I mean if I'd like an email address susan.dennis@xv, xv would tell me this is not possible because there is already an email address susan.dennis. Choose a different one... then people usually try maybe . susan.dennis.49 or something else. susan.dennis wouldn't be available for me, because there is already someone else, that is you, using it

You have quite a collection of namesakes now — pity you didn't also get the pizza :) I am surprised that Gmail allow 2 people to have the same address — as it looks as if the address on the order is the one from which they received the online order.

I am fairly sure my name is almost unique so I have never had a Gmail for someone else. Although, oddly, we do get actual pizza deliveries at the door meant for someone else; in our area there is a Mountain View, a Mountfield Road, and a Mount View Road — and the people taking the phone orders sometimes either write the wrong one, or write it so badly it gets transcribed as the wrong one. Over lockdown we could have had at least 3 different pizza deliveries and two Indian ones!!

Gmail doesn't allow two people to have the exact same email address — people just keep messing up their own gmail address.

That's what confused me. When we order a pizza on line the reply automatically comes to the address from which the email was sent. You don't have to fill it in anywhere so you can't get it wrong.

Ps this is wombat. I am using the phone app and am probably not logged in!

But why did it register as coming from your address?

I can understand it when someone writes/types their email address wrongly — but if they order online the email address from which they paced the order should automatically register — it does when we order online even using the online forms, and it did register her ip address. Presumably the online ordering system is a little different to ours :)

At least your wrong email address people have the exact same first and last name as you. The three regulars who keep messing up their email addresses and using mine inadvertently don't, which makes the mix-up even odder.

I'm in the UK and keep getting emails from an Old Navy store in Draper Utah confirming my orders. I asked them to check their details — nothing.
When I pointed out that the clothes were for someone half my size, I was in the UK and it would triple their postage costs they actually did something. Just one letter difference on our email addresses.

Is that expensive pizza or is that about normal?
A 13.5" deep pan — build your own would be about $20/ £15 in the UK outside of any offer bundles.
