The airport was packed - at least the arrivals deck, but I got him. And I'm not turning him back in for one week and one day.
Biggie has been inside pretty much since he got here which is pretty unusual for him lately. But his outside terrace world is going to be all torn up tomorrow morning as the changes begin. I have no idea what he's going to think.
Oh and Bill said he gives his dogs pills wrapped up in American cheese. I know for a fact that Biggie has never had American cheese but he does love butter. So I got out a slice and rolled up a couple of little balls and he gobbled 'em right up. This could be our pill answer. We'll try it tomorrow.
Bill and I went to a neighborhood place for dinner. It's been here for about four years and even before the pandemic they did all kinds of pivots to find their niche. I'm not sure they are there yet. It was ok. But they have no air conditioning and they are on the east side of the street getting all the afternoon sun so ugh. But we managed a little shade and a little breeze and it wasn't horrible by any stretch.
We are home and Bill, who got up at 4:30 his time has gone to bed. I'm not that far behind him. It's early but we're old. And the trash hauling people will be here at 9.

Date: 2021-07-12 03:17 am (UTC)Our dogs love cheese and peanut butter. Those are the fave to sneak pills into. I never thought of how to give a cat pills. Best of luck!

Date: 2021-07-12 12:37 pm (UTC)And while I hate to rain on your pill success parade, please please, no more cheese. Cats can't tolerate any kind of dairy, they are the very definition of lactose intolerant. A teeny nibble of dairy now and again may do no harm, but really should be avoided. It can really throw their digestive system out of wack. If Greenies pill pockets for cats aren't fooling him, try hiding them in a chunk of canned tuna or salmon, buy a tin of sardines and hide them in bits of that. Dunk them in tuna water (water, not oil). Good luck!! :)
