Sunday. Quiet and cool and lovely. Bill has yet to emerge. I suspect he's back there reading and enjoying his own quiet for a bit.
Yesterday we ran by the pet food store on our way to meet
seattlejo for brunch. It was a fine plan except I did not take into account that there were two protest marches, slew of road closures for road fixing, a few accidents and EVERYONE AND THEIR FUCKING MOTHER was in downtown Seattle yesterday in a car in traffic. For a while I was pretty sure we'd never get out of it in my lifetime.
But, we eventually did and had a great visit with Deb.
When we got home, Bill rented a scooter and went up to Pike Place Market and then walked home. It is the perfect way to do it from here. The incline from here to there is just enough to discourage walking up there. So he had a great time. And he posted some great pix. (NFW would I even try to get on one of those things. My balance is suspect walking on two feet down the sidewalk. I have a mobility scooter which is way more my style.) He noted that everyone not in a car downtown, was on foot. I guess the pandemic is over here in Seattle and between going out like regular and over compensating for missing a year and a half, the world outside home is now crowded!
We went to my favorite burger place last night. If I cannot have a burger hand made and grilled outside, then I'll take 2 Doors Down's burger any day. Plus root beer on tap.
Then we came home and I watched the baseball game and Bill read his book. A nice nice day.
I've been trying to convince Biggie that wet food is better than dry. With little success. He loves his kibble. He really does not like wet cat food. The vet leans towards wet food but isn't terribly upset with dry only. Wet food is a lot more trouble for me and is more expensive so why in the world am I even bothering to try to convert him? I have no answer really. But, I'm going to give it a little more try before I quit and feed him what he wants.
BTW, He's out on the terrace this morning - on the job - and the birds are in the tree taunting him.

Date: 2021-07-18 04:42 pm (UTC)Have you tried the Tiki Cat brand of wet? We switched to it years back. It's not cheap BUT... lol. It is human grade cat food, looks like something we'd eat but is made for our tiny predators that allow us to live with them. It's super nutritious, high in protein and moisture content and super digestible for their systems which leads to one of it's biggest perks... less poop! We average about 1 poop every other day and it's much smaller since more of the food is being retained by them. Most pet stores carry it now too, when a couple years ago it was mainly only sold by small locally owned shops and Amazon/Chewy. They make wet and dry now, and the dry is also awesome due to how its made. Plus they have pouches or cans, big and small.
