I remember being 11 and 12 and wanting desperately to be a 'teen'. No idea now, of course, why, but I remember the feelings very clearly. I do not think that was/is uncommon. Except now. If I were 11 now, I'd be counting the days until I was 12 so I could get the vaccination, take off my mask and show the world that I was no longer a little kid. The new rights of passage.

Around here, I am enjoying the fruits of my brother's labor. My house feels so organized and streamlined. I've always loved living here. Always. And now, after 30 years here, I still feel like if I didn't live here, I'd want to desperately. I'm so lucky.

Today is dinner and a game at the ballpark. This means I need to charge up the scooter and pick out a Mariners shirt from my collection and not eat much of anything to shore up my hungry.

This morning, Biggie is bird spotting from the living room. Not sure what that's all about.
