I was wrong

Maybe my timing was perfect but it took me a total of 30 minutes from the time I left this couch until I was back on it, to go across town, through the center of town, park, pick up the prescription and come back. I got a whole lotta green lights. It was painless.

But, assuming it was going to be horrible, my thought was rather than come back the same way, I'd go to the nice Trader Joe's on that side of town. Except, I was already home before I remembered that plan. Ooops.

Oh well, I can go tomorrow.

I love my new earbuds but their little tiny case is going to get lost. In this house. Or out. And no way to 'tile' it. So I found a case with a carabiner. Now I'm protected.



I have now read just one too many stories about fully vaccinated people getting more than just mile cases of COVID. I have not been religious about mask wearing lately. That's changing today. I'll not be leaving the house with a naked face again for a while.

The killing field remains barren and now the sun is gone but Biggie's still on point. He's out there hiding from them but ready. It's his version of a hunter's blind.

The resurgence is scary. We are at over 80% of eligible people with at least one dose, and 70% fully vaccinated. It is still not enough and I have no intention of dropping the mask. Not that I could, since we still have indoor mask mandates everywhere, and only just re-opened restaurants to limited numbers of indoor diners.

King county is 63% fully vaccinated (as of 7/16-ish), which is higher than most counties.

Better safe than sorry.

I was out running errands today — through downtown and Queen Anne and I saw a whole lot more people wearing them than I did all of last week when I was also out and about.
