Mariners were down 6-0 at the end of the first inning. The announcer who makes me want to hang myself was broadcasting. I watched with mute and listened to my audiobook. But, then... things started to change. We got 1 run then 2 then 3... Kyle Seager hit a 3 run homer and all of a sudden it was 8-6 in only the 6th inning. The we tacked on one more.

And then Dylan Moore, a mostly meh player, hit his first ever grand slam home run.

The Mariners beat Houston 11-8. It was beyond a sweet victory.

I sure did!

After the first inning I was afraid you were right (about them eating our lunch) but something told me that they might come back. The grand slam was amazing. The moment he hit it he knew where it was going. And I just loved to see Kyle teach the Astros a lesson too.

Destiny is at work here, I can feel it!

I was also quite pleased to see that pitcher tossed for hitting JP. I'll bet Houston will be out for the kill tonight. I do hope it screws up their focus. But no one can take last night away from us! So glad you got to see it, too.

The 8th inning has been magic for both of our teams the last couple of days. (We were at Fenway last night to see the Sox come from behind with a two-run homer in the 8th, giving them their major-league-leading 33rd come-from-behind win.)

This is the time of year when it is clear we are going nowhere. So all of this is fresh and new for us. And.. fun!
