I just got home to a bunch of feathers in the Killing Field. I'm going to assume that the bird Biggie caught, got away. One of my friends, apparently, saw him catch it on the webcam. I could go back through the video and look ut I'm not going to. I'm happy living my version.

OMG here he comes with another one! No wonder he's not eating his cat food. Jeeze.

I've now dispatched Robby to suck up the feathers. Hopefully this will keep Biggie from bringing any more inside this morning. Hope springs eternal.

I was at the Mercedes place taking my little car in for his anual physical. They've made some spiffy changes. Every car that comes in gets photographed from all sides now and all the dets recorded on tablets. Also, they are still requiring masks. And their name badges - which are actually very high end - now indicate whether or not they have been vaccinated in letters bigger than those used even for their names. I like it.

I forgot to tell him I need it back by 4 or he needs to keep it until tomorrow. Oh well. He normally finishes early afternoon. I can punt.

I have a ticket to the game tonight and they start serving dinner at 5. I want to eat up and get in my seat to watch those pitiful Astros take batting practice. So I need to be dressed and ready and out the door on time!

Soo... I have not watched much Olympics and don't plan to but I turned on the TV yesterday and it happened to be on NBC and it happened to be in the middle of the pairs diving. I'll watch diving and most all water sports for a while at least so I did. Taking off from an enormously high platform into water mimicing the dude next to you on the way down is just impossible to me. Two British guys were the best and they were cute and one was named Tom Daley. Funny! There's dude in my Instagram feed who's British and named Tom Daley. He knits and crochets and is cute. Wonder if they know each other.

This morning I discovered that, in fact, they do! It's the same guy!! My knitting/crocheter is also an Olympic pair diver!! I had no idea. How hilarious.

I have game prep to do today. Charge up the scooter and pick out the shirt. And then it will be the usual while waiting for the car to come home. And picking up bird bodies...

I wish every place was as sensible as your Mercedes dealer!

My word, Biggie has become quite the predator! Fletcher is still too traumatized to even think about going outdoors.

Tom is gay and married to American film writer Dustin Lance Black; they have a three year old son via surrogate. I watched the diving, rooting on the Brits to beat the Chinese. (It's almost unheard of) I was pleased to see the commentators just deal matter of factly with Tom having a husband. That would not have happened even a decade ago.

I saw a video of their winning performance on Facebook. They're both adorable, and the diving is just incredible (literally).

I found something that might interest you for Biggie. By letting him ingest these birds it might do him more harm than good. Cats can catch parasites and diseases from catching wild birds. . https://www.birdsbesafe.com/index.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMItNLNnZiE8gIVOh-tBh2pVw0QEAAYASAAEgIXgvD_BwE

That is so awesome about the diver!

How can birds be so clueless that they can be caught by a cat? They can fly, right? Biggie is holding his own Darwin Awards ceremony.

I had no idea until yesterday that Tom Daley also knitted/crocheted. So cool ;)

None of the staff but most of the customers in the waiting room wearing masks when I brought my VW back in last week. None of the staff has name tags, and they don't introduce themselves even though I've begged for this, so I have no idea who's "helping" me. Not a fan. I do have to say I appreciate that they wash the car for you before giving it back.

Ah yes, they even vacuumed out the mess in the front foot wells a couple of weeks ago! Forgot about that. They get props for that, too. And they brought back the waiting room Keurig that had been taken away early in the pandemic.
