Excellent idea

Google showed me a new/better way to get to the restaurant. As I pulled out of the garage, I realized I'd forgotten to check the calendar. There's a Sounders game in the stadium ooops. Well, it was 11:30 and the game wasn't until 2. I'd chance it. But, geeze there were a whole lotta soccer peops already milling about.

Turns out it took exactly 1 hour from the time I left my living room until I got back there to go, order, wait, receive and come back. And it was an easy trip. I do think next time I will call and order ahead. And in an emergency, there is Grubhub.

The tiny place was packed. I already had decided so that part was easy. It was a pleasant place to kill 15 mins or so even in all the hub bub. I got 3 full meals, 1 dessert and one side. $45. The side was a dud. The rest was perfect. I had a huge lunch and I have 5 full meals in the fridge and freezer ready for next time. I got my money's worth for sure. I brought home a menu to study and added the other things I want to try to the list I started in Keep.

I said to my brother when we first sat down that I was in the market for a new goto Chinese food place and I think I found it.

YUM.

Oh and the traffic police had already cordoned off all the streets when I got back but they do leave one open for 'local access' and I really had no issue sliding back into my parking spot.

Sounds like a nice little restaurant. Chinese is one of my top three favorite foods, so of course I had to google your place to see the menu. Nice menu except for the…um….french fried chicken legs. Its too bad they don’t have “little grey bird legs” on the menu. Biggie could work there too!
Thanks to the pandemic the Chinese restaurant that is within about a mile of me has closed. I had patronized them exclusively since 1982. I am lost without them. Other places just can’t compare. 😢
I shall have to live vicariously through you!

Asian eateries have not fared well during the pandemic, and a lot have been doing just takeout if they're open at all. The by-far-the-best Chinese place in Ithaca was closed for a while, then doing just takeout, but they're reopening the dining room this week! Definitely planning a visit. The one near my house I've just hit a couple of times for takeout, and I really should visit them more, too. Their lunch specials are a great deal.
