On the bright side...

I drink my iced tea with nothing in it. Just tea. For this I am very grateful because I just spilled an entire glass of it.

On the carpet and computer table... but not on the computer OR the phone next to it!!

I love nugget ice. But, just today, I wished for a few giant cubes instead of 59+ tiny ice bits all over the carpet.

I also drink my coffee with nothing in it so no well the relief when spilling it.

I really need to concentrate on keeping my beverages upright and in their containers!

I did some more compression sock research and discovered you can buy them with open toes!! That's a great idea so I cut the toes off mine. Whew! my little piggies were so happy for freedom that I still have the actual socks on and I still don't hate them. So interesting to me. I hate socks and I hate being squeezed. Especially around the legs. So why aren't these just bugging the shit out of me? Weird.

The shelves in the kitchen are in much better shape. The freezer and fridge are purged of everything unidentifiable or science experimental! I took a gynormous load of trash, compost and recycling down to the dumpsters.

I found a dish in the freezer labeled Costco Mashed Potatoes. It was my label on my dish so clearly spooned from the original source. I had some chicken from Amazon Fresh so I baked up both. I love potatoes. I love mashed potatoes but these suckers were a notch above the rest! Why did I have Costco mashed potatoes? Was it from one of their kitchen dishes like maybe meatloaf? I need to investigate. That shit was delish! I'm about due for a Costco run anyway.

What I did not find in the freezer was chinese food. I could swear I had one more dinner in there. Bummer.

BUT no bummer is this weather!! It is currently 64 (16C) degrees on my terrace!! I know it won't last but I love it today.

I do compression sleeves for my legs — they cover from heel to ankle. I cannot stand having my toes covered, either, and the toeless socks I found make my toes swell. :/

but having just the sleeves doesn't make your feet swell? i would think my feet would just puff up until they popped!

My calves and feet would swell without compression, but my feet don’t swell noticeably with the sleeves on. (Bodies are weird.)

I have had that swollen foot/leg thing for years. In my case it's edema, https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/edema/symptoms-causes/syc-20366493 and is caused by a heart condition. My cardiologist got me on a drug called Jardiance, and that has helped a lot. I am not a doctor, but I play one on the Internet. If your doctor is not paying attention to the swelling, call his attention to it.

google says i have non-poking edema and agrees with my doctor that it's NBD. i need to lose weight. IF you are right, still NBD. I'm not taking drugs for heart fixes. Plus, I hate those damn Jardiance commercials. thanks anyway.

Good to know you have a non-life-threatening edema. I have not seen the Jardiance commercials, but I hear you - I hate that prescription drugs are allowed to advertise on TV - when we were kids there was a law against that. And then the lawyers decided we needed to hear all the possible side effects no matter how implausible. Gag me.
