Here in King County with more than 70% vaccinated, we have more COVID cases this week, more hospitalizations and more deaths. Go us?

I may go to Costco (they still have old people hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays). I may go to the grocery store. Otherwise, I'll be here, in this condo for a while. Maybe a long while.

I had another one of my biscuits for breakfast. I split it and toasted it and put a fried egg on top of it. Soooooooo good. Now I'm worried I won't be able to replicate!! I think today, I'll make a batch of regular biscuits. Just to see what they are like. If good. I can freeze them, too.

And cookies. I have a cookie recipe I want to try. So that's the plan for today. I think I have all the supplies I need right here but I have things to return so a trip to Amazon Fresh isn't out of the question.

It's overcast and 60 (14) degrees out on the terrace. We have a couple of nearly 80 degree days in the forecast BUT the low tems are all in the 50's so even the hot won't be so hot. I think we're over the FuckingHot hump and I'm so delighted. I'm looking forward to my next in person Mariner game (now in mid-September) being one where I need to wear a jacket or even a coat! It could happen.

That sucks. I'm in about the same sit. No shopping other than Costco which is open and lots of room and not too many people (although few masks, of course).

All we can do is wait it out.

My hope is that today's FDA approval will lead to more businesses requiring vaccination proof (maybe even in texas!) that will lead to more vaccinations that will lead to...

Meanwhile it won't kill us to give up a few bar nights and roadeo days...

At least all the service members at FT Hood will be vaccinated. Killeen (where the FT is) just declared an emergency over the weekend which means that the Army guys are spreading it in the surrounding community just north of us.

Now it is a legit drug the entire military will be required. That will help.

Ughh...covid. Im one of those that are glad that masks are being required again. Im vaccinated, but the only one in my household.

Mmmm....cookies. Need to do some baking again soon. And some bread. My kiddos love homemade bread.
