Hoof and mouth

Last night, as I was getting into bed, I noticed another spot on my foot that hurt. It felt like maybe I'd scraped it on something. It bugged the shit out of me last night when I'd brush it against the sheet or my other foot. But, this morning I couldn't find a thing. It's in a spot I cannot see well but still it hurt like it should be visible. Finally, I slapped a bandaid on where it felt like it needed it. I put on my softest sandals and got on the treadmill. After the first few minutes I forgot about it and it has not troubled me since. Wonder if it's a tiny cut or something. Weird but I've got lots of bandaids so I'm cool

And... mouth. As in what goes in it. Another wonder biscuit breakfast. I had plans for what to make today but then ljtourist called last night to discuss my new found love of baking and share some tips. He changed my Tuesday entirely. I'm not even sure what I'm going to make but I know it will be better than it would be before he called!! It might be a white cake. It might be banana chocolate chip cookies. TBD.

The Mariner game is at 12:30 today. I think I'm going to pop out to Amazon Fresh before the game.

I heard on the news that the Mariners have made changes to their mask policy. It's not on their website. I've gotten no email from them. The policy, outlined in the press release on the local news site indicates that they are following the letter of the law and just ignoring the spirit. Wimps. Maybe by the time I have to make the Go/NoGo decision again (mid-sept), things will be better.

My electric August (mostly) bill is down close to 30% from this time last year. Wow.

If you haven't already, it might be worth trimming the shit out of the toenails on either side of the problem toe. I had the exact thing a while ago — lots of blood, pain, couldn't at first see what the issue was, but eventually worked out that one of my toenails was slicing up the adjacent toe. The weird thing was that it didn't look long enough, feel sharp enough or was even in the right place to be doing the damage, but somehow it still was. Worth a go if you can be bothered:)

Oh I have to do that (trim toenails and edges) all the time. And, yep, that's the first thing I check. Toenails can be vicious!

I made banana chocolate chip cake for a picnic once. It came out good.
